Truman Lake Fishing Report – November 19
This week’s Truman Lake Fishing Report comes straight from the water as Ryan joined Mark Huey of Mark Huey’s Guide Service while they were finishing up a two-man crappie limit.
Crappie:
The crappie bite is still strong. Mark is catching them under a bobber up the creeks, with fish holding tight to timber after a storm rolled through with lightning, thunder, and rain. Despite the front, the bite remains steady. Stake beds in 4–6 feet are producing well on Living the Dream jigs and Wild Willy’s flukes.
White Bass:
White bass continue to show up high on the trees. If you swing a jig past them, they’ll eat it. The more consistent action is coming from wind-blown banks with shallow chunk rock, where you can catch fish cast after cast.
Catfish:
The catfish bite remains excellent. Mark is running fresh cut shad on the main lake flats, staying in 4–8 feet depending on conditions. The fall-to-winter catfish pattern is only going to get better from here.
Booking:
November is fully booked, but Mark has open dates in December and into early 2025.
