Truman Lake Weekly Fishing Report – October 23
Fall has finally arrived at Truman Lake, and the fishing is heating up.
- Crappie are still holding tight to brush piles, especially conservation piles from mid-lake to the dam. Mark is catching them with jigs, no minnows needed.
- Catfish are starting to feed up. Mark had a solid day catching 22 eater-size fish using nothing but cut shad—and he did it without electronics.
- White bass are biting great on windy days. Look for action around riprap and bridges, especially when the wind is pushing bait into those areas.
Mark has limited openings left in November and good availability in December. Now’s a great time to bundle up and chase a mixed bag of fish on Truman!
