This week brought some cooler weather and a noticeable improvement in fishing conditions across Truman Lake.

Crappie are still steady in 10–15 feet of water on trees and roaming in upper-end channels. LiveScope and spider rigging are both producing fish, with plenty of roaming action out in deeper channels

Catfish are beginning to follow shad up off the channel edges onto nearby flats. The combination of wind and cooler temperatures helped fire up the bite, with several slot fish and plenty of eaters caught this week.

White Bass activity remains light but improving. A few are being caught on wind-blown points, and action should continue to pick up as the fall winds roll in.

Mark Huey still has one Sunday open in October and several days available in November and December. Book now before it fills up — and if you’re looking for a Lund, Harris, or Bayliner, stop by Sportsman’s Outfitter & Marine in Belton, MO.
